Law & Policy
States are legitimately concerned with issues of sovereignty, preserving the welfare of their own citizens, ensuring social cohesion and social, cultural and economic development, and fighting against transnational organised crime. In part to achieve this, States have collectively drafted an impressive body of international and regional human rights norms and standards, voluntarily committing themselves to a series of obligations when ratifying some or all of the human rights treaties listed below - treaties which demand respect for the rights, dignity and integrity of people both when in their own country and abroad.
- International Law & Policy Frameworks
- International frameworks on migration and development, including international conventions, declarations and protocols.
- Regional Law & Policy Frameworks
- Regional frameworks on migration and development, including regional conventions, declarations and pacts.
